We have been having some fun at the Malachi with our Radio Plays In A Day programme.
With help from the NSW Government’s Reconnecting Regional Communities Event Fund, the Malachi has hosted a couple of day-long community activities where participants (whether experienced in voice performance or not) read-through, rehearse and record a live performance of a play from the “Golden Age of Radio”, including sound effects from ’emerging’ Foley Artists! More RPIAD events are planned for later this year!
The end result is a fun day of new friendships, teamwork, and an end-product ‘radio broadcast’ to listen back to and… chuckle!
So far we have recorded six Radio Plays, and they are all available ‘for your listening pleasure’ on our YouTube channel, via the links below.
