Howl – Omega Ensemble

Omega Ensemble returns to the Malachi with a performance of musical defiance and untamed brilliance, uniting five leading contemporary classical voices.

You will hear a dark, cinematic piano quartet gem written with sardonic humour and manic intensity; a clarinet-led incantation of ritual and outburst; a wild work for solo violin and live electronics; a “part-string-quartet-part-rave” piece that expands the ensemble into new sonic territories, and a world premiere by LA-based Daniel Wohl which fuses electronic and acoustic forces into a three-dimensional sound world.

Oberon Brick Show

The team from Playwell Events are excited to be heading back to Oberon with their amazing LEGO exhibition. Featuring a variety of custom-built LEGO models, with a wide range of themes, there will be something for everyone. The ever-popular play tables will be returning, where kids can get creative and build themselves.

There will also be opportunities to purchase LEGO sets & parts on the day from the Playwell vendors.

Heritage Week Seminar

You are warmly invited to a seminar presented by the Bathurst branch of the National Trust. Co-owner of the Malachi, Lucy East will be joining award-winning O’Connell architect Lian Wong to talk about their experience in restoring and reviving heritage buildings.  Lian will be talking about the Old Bega Hospital restoration project which was awarded the 2025 National Trust (NSW) Built Conservation award. Lucy will be sharing her experience in bringing our Art Deco building back to life as a creative centre for Oberon.
