Weaving the Malachi’s Grand Drape

With a nod to the Malachi’s past use as a wool handler’s warehouse, our plan to engage Emma Shepherd from Sundance Studio to create a commissioned weaving for the newly dressed stage seems fitting. During the spring school holiday fortnight, Emma will set up her 8 shaft loom and weave her design in 100% wool. Alongside Emma, local wool spinners will set up their spinning wheels to make yarn from fleeces donated by local farmer Cress Dawson.
