2026 Oberon Chamber Music Festival Opening Gala

It is a great pleasure to bring the Oberon Chamber Music Festival to the Malachi for it’s fourth year! Making their festival debuts are some of Australia’s most sought-after string players:  Dimity Hall (violin), James Wannan (viola), and Julian Smiles (cello), and we are thrilled to introduce leading pianist Ying Ho to the festival.​ They will be joining Artistic Director and violinist Emma Jardine to play two beloved masterpieces: Dvořák’s radiant and richly lyrical Piano Quintet in A Majorand Mozart’s dramatic and elegant Piano Quartet in G minor.

Join the musicians in the Malachi foyer after the concert for a drink and a free slice of pizza at our popular Opening Gala after-party, and enjoy a fitting start to the festival weekend!
