DESCRIPTION:Oberon’s third Chamber Music Festival kicks off a fabulous weekend with three chamber works for piano and strings. \nThanks to the support of Oberon Council\, this concert is offering half-price tickets to Oberon 2787 residents. \nThe Festival Gala brings together leading chamber musicians for an evening of chamber masterworks. The program features Rossini’s youthful Sonata No. 1 in G major \, Hummel’s lively Piano Quintet in E-flat major\, Op. 87\, and Mendelssohn’s rarely heard Piano Sextet in D major\, Op. 110.  \nThe concert features artists: Emma Jardine (violin)\, Brigid Coleridge (violin)\, Tobias Breider (viola)\, Rachel Siu (cello)\, Kees Boersma (double bass)\, and Bernadette Harvey (piano). \nAfter the performance\, stay for an onstage conversation with the musicians\, hosted by our much-loved festival guide\, Andy Bromberger. He is joined by Louisic Dulbecco\, newly appointed Principal Harpist of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra\, for a program of graceful works for flute and harp.
